BioI am an alumna of Virginia Tech (finally finished that PhD in 2003) and an obsessive maker-of-things. Recently I have begun quilting, and have been astonished - absolutely overwhelmed - by the strong passionate community of quilters there are out there. After the tragedy in Blacksburg last week, I have begun an effort I call "Project Hokie Hope." The goal is to make a quilt for each of the families who lost a loved one.
